About

Tails on Trails 5K Run/Walk takes place in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, on September 11, 2027, in Cacapon State Park. A 5K (3.1 miles) run and a 5K walk start together at 10:00 a.m. on the same course.

The event supports the Humane Society of Morgan County, and the trail course is designed to be family-friendly, welcoming kids and dogs. A virtual option is also available. With a short distance and walking as an official option, it is a good fit for anyone new to trail running. If you are bringing a dog, a short leash and a practice outing beforehand will help avoid surprises in the middle of the pack.
