About

Swiss Wine Festival Vevay River Run 5K is a 5K (3.1 miles) run and walk in Vevay, Indiana, on August 28, 2027, with both starting at 8:00 a.m. It is part of the Swiss Wine Festival, which celebrates the area's Swiss heritage along the Ohio River. Founded in 1972, the festival mixes traditional and contemporary activities, including grape stomping, live music and tastings of local wines from nearby wineries, as well as a range of musical performances and fireworks.

Runners and walkers compete in separate divisions. Runners are timed, with prizes for the winners in age groups and in the overall men's and women's categories. The walk recognizes the top male and female finishers but is meant to be a fun, family-friendly experience with no age divisions. The race is a morning event for participants and spectators alike.
