The Sun Up to Sun Down 50K Trail Race brings athletes to First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach on February 6, 2027, for a 50K (31-mile) trail challenge put on by J&A Racing, starting at 8:00 a.m. From sunrise to sunset, participants run a 5K (3.1-mile) loop every hour, aiming to complete the full 50 km before the sun dips below the horizon.

The challenge can be tackled solo or as a team sharing the distance and the experience. Whether pushing personal limits alone or as a dynamic duo, it is an exhilarating race against the clock and the setting sun.
