About

The Stub Stewart Trail Challenge takes place in Buxton, Oregon, in early April. The event is built around a single 6.5-mile loop, and you choose your distance by the number of laps you complete: one loop for the quarter marathon (6.5 miles), two for the half marathon (13.1 miles), three for the three-quarter marathon (19.5 miles) or four for the full marathon (26.2 miles). All four options start together at 9:00 AM. The loop is described as fast and runnable, moving from the smooth surface of the Banks-Vernonia trail onto unpaved roads, with rolling hills and a few tougher climbs along the way. Because you decide how far to go on race day, it suits first-time trail runners as well as those testing their endurance.
