About

Step Up and Step Out takes place in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 1, 2027, combining a stair-climb challenge with a 2-mile (3.2 km) walk/run for athletes keen to push their limits and support a good cause.

Participants can take on the stairs inside Harbor Park for an intense workout, or opt for the scenic Step Out Walk/Run along the Elizabeth River, starting at 9 a.m. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome, with a blend of competition and camaraderie. Every entry supports the Up Center's life-changing services for the local community, including foster care, mental health counseling and youth mentoring. After the finish, everyone gathers for a community celebration with music, refreshments and awards.
