About

The Starlight Run - Portland, OR is the city's most popular race, and for good reason. Held on June 5, 2027, just ahead of the CareOregon Starlight Parade, this 5K (3.1-mile) night run fills downtown Portland with energy, costumes and huge crowds.

Staged for nearly 50 years, the race follows an out-and-back route along the parade route, starting and finishing at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Thousands of spectators line the streets, turning every step into a party, while runners in outlandish costumes add a carnival touch. The pre-race costume contest is a highlight that draws creative and competitive entrants. It is fast, festive and unlike any other 5K in the Pacific Northwest.
