The St. James 5 Mile Challenge and 5K takes place in St. James, in the Town of Smithtown, New York, on May 8, 2027, with the 5-mile run starting at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K fun run at 9:15 a.m.

The 5-mile course features an uphill start, rolling hills and a steep climb on Cordwood Path before finishing on flat ground. The 5K fun run/walk is there for anyone who prefers a more relaxed experience. Proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro to help build a new facility at Stony Brook Children's Hospital, supporting families with sick children.
