Space Coast Marathon & Half-Marathon

Space Coast Marathon & Half-Marathon takes place in Cocoa, Florida, on November 22, 2026, as part of the Mission to Mars series. The marathon (26.2 miles) starts at 6:00 a.m. and the half marathon (13.1 miles) fifteen minutes later at 6:15 a.m., on a USATF-certified waterfront course showing off Florida's east coast. Six o'clock is early even by marathon standards, so shift your body clock in the final fortnight and do at least two long runs starting at dawn. A certified course also means your time counts for qualifying purposes, which matters if you are targeting a specific standard. Full marathon preparation needs about sixteen weeks with a peak long run near twenty miles; the half, going off a quarter of an hour later, is the better call if your longest run is currently under twelve miles.
