South Vineland Thanksgiving Run

South Vineland Thanksgiving Run takes place in Vineland, New Jersey, on November 26, 2026, with a 9:00 a.m. start on Thanksgiving morning. Because this is a cross-country course rather than a road race, expect grass, dirt, and possibly soft or muddy ground in late November; trail shoes or older road shoes with decent tread are a better choice than racing flats. Times on cross-country terrain run slower than on pavement, so judge your effort rather than your pace. Runners who race on the roads will find the softer surface a nice change and a good strength workout, while beginners can prepare with six weeks of easy running, three times a week, ideally including some off-road miles. Walkers are welcome and should start toward the back. Bring dry socks and shoes for after the finish.
