South Padre Island Muzicians Run 5k/10k

South Padre Island Muzicians Run is held at the Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island, Texas, on October 24, 2026. The 10K (6.2 miles), the 5K and a 1 mile run all start at 5 p.m., on a scenic course set to live mariachi music. Entrants receive a technical shirt, a medal and complimentary refreshments, packet pickup happens beforehand at an expo with fitness vendors, and a mariachi after-party closes the evening. Costumes are encouraged.

Three distances off one gun means choosing honestly before race day. The mile is a family option, the 5K a sharp effort, and the 10K the one that needs building, with eight weeks of a weekly tempo run and a long run of an hour covering it. Since the start is late in the day, do at least one training run at that hour so eating and drinking are already sorted.
