About

SNIPSA Race for the Rescues 5K Run/Walk with your Dog is a 5K (3.1 miles) in San Antonio, starting from the Alamo Heights Pool at 8:00 a.m. on September 25, 2027. It is SNIPSA's largest fundraiser and aims to raise awareness of homeless animals.

The pet-friendly course lets participants run or walk on their own, with their dog or as a team, and a separate 5K is offered for competitive runners without dogs. Proceeds fund community spay/neuter campaigns and veterinary care for rescued animals. Team registration is available, and awards are given by performance category.
