About

The Slickville 5k Coal Mine Climb & 2 Mile Fun Walk brings a 5K run and a 2-mile (3.2 km) fun walk to Slickville on August 7, 2027, as part of Slickville Community Days, a day built around sport and community. Both events start at 8:30 a.m.

The 5K course pairs beautiful scenery with tough hills, including the famous “Coal Mine Climb.” The fun walk is a more relaxed outing through town and along the Westmoreland Heritage Trail. Participants who register early receive an event tech shirt.

Afterward, enjoy a free pancake breakfast and stay for the awards ceremony and the rest of the festivities, including a car show and fireworks.
