Slacker Race

Slacker Race is held on June 26, 2027, in the mountains around Denver, Colorado. Two formats are offered: a half marathon (13.1 mi), also run as a relay, and a 6 km (3.7 mi) walk. Start times are not listed in our records.

Colorado half marathons in the foothills are usually descending courses, which is why they attract runners chasing times — and why so many finish with sore quadriceps rather than tired lungs. Run the first three miles under control, let the gradient work for you rather than against your legs, and remember that the altitude will still make the effort feel harder than the pace suggests.
