About

SJMH Color Walk Run takes place in Weston, West Virginia, on October 24, 2026. The single event is a color run over 3.3 miles, starting at 9 a.m., and it is open to walkers as well as runners.

Color runs are social events first and races second, which makes this a good choice if you want a number on your chest without the pressure of a clock. Wear clothes and shoes you do not mind staining, and consider sunglasses to keep powder out of your eyes. The distance is a shade longer than a standard 5K, which only matters if you are used to counting down from 3.1 miles. A few weeks of walking or easy running two or three times a week is all the preparation most people need.
