Shiprock Marathon

Shiprock Marathon spreads across April 30 and May 1, 2027 in Shiprock, New Mexico. Friday brings the Triple Crown starts at 2:00 p.m., 30 miles and a 17-mile half marathon version, along with the Natani Mile at 2:00, the Elder Run (2 miles) at 3:00 and the 5K at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday the marathon (26.2 miles) starts at 7:00 a.m. and the half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:30. The out-and-back road course leaves from the Shiprock Youth Center, looks out at the Shiprock Pinnacle and gives back a long, gentle downhill on the return.

USATF certified and a Boston qualifier, it also counts toward the Abbott Marathon Majors Masters World Championships, so it fits runners chasing a standard. Save something for the way back, because that downhill only helps if your legs still work.
