Shiner Beer Run Half Marathon & 5K

Shiner Beer Run Half Marathon & 5K is run in and around downtown Shiner, Texas, on November 21, 2026, in support of the Boot Campaign. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:00 a.m., the 10K at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K at 8:45 a.m., each on a course taking in the town and the countryside around it. Awards go to age-group winners as well as to the top runner and top masters runner, all decided on official time. Participants also have the option of staying overnight at Green Dickson Municipal Park.

The overnight option changes the shape of the weekend: if you camp, plan your evening meal and morning routine the way you would for any away race, and avoid trying anything new the night before. Because the overall and masters titles are settled on official time, line up near the front if you are in contention. For everyone else, the staggered starts mean the 5K field leaves once the longer races are already out on course.
