The Shark in the Park 5K is a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk in Indian Harbour Beach, starting at 7:30 a.m. on June 19, 2027, from Gleason Park.

Inspired by a real event in which a bull shark was found and relocated, the race celebrates the capture and release of the shark, affectionately nicknamed Sushi. The scenic course winds through the park and the surrounding neighborhoods, and a lively after-party follows the race. The first 400 registrants will receive a medal.
