Shamrock Shuffle Half Marathon, 5K and 2-Person Relay

The Shamrock Shuffle takes place in Lewes, Delaware, in mid-March, at Main Beach in Cape Henlopen State Park, and is organized by the Seashore Striders. It offers a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 5K (3.1 miles) and a new 2-person relay, with an 8:00 a.m. start.

Participants can register online or by mail, and proceeds go to local charities. Chronotrack chip timing is used, finishers get long-sleeve shirts, and custom awards go to top runners in different age groups and team divisions. The course is open to the public, and the safety of all participants is a priority. Coastal Delaware in mid-March can be cold and windy, especially near the water, so bring a layer for before and after the race and expect a headwind on part of the course.
