About
The New York Women's Half Marathon brings women together from around the world each year for a women-only 13.1-mile race held entirely in Central Park in Manhattan, in late April. The course follows the park's well-known drives and paths, a green urban setting that appeals to veterans of the distance and to runners looking for a first experience in New York. Central Park's rolling hills are a defining feature of any race there, so some practice on gentle climbs and descents will help you keep a steady effort. Spring mornings in Manhattan can be cool at the start and mild by the finish, so a layer you can drop with a bag check or at the start line is worth planning for.
