Shelburne Half Marathon

The Shelburne Half Marathon takes place in Shelburne, Vermont, in Chittenden County, in early May, on a course passing lakes, ponds and forests. Three distances are offered: a 5K (3.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles) and a half marathon (13.1 miles). Vermont in early May can still be cool, so layers are useful, and mud or damp roads are possible. The surrounding area invites visitors to extend their stay within an hour of the course, including Burlington's Church Street Marketplace and the Lake Champlain shoreline, Mount Mansfield, the state's highest peak, and the Shelburne Museum with its American art collection.
