The Scouting America Half Marathon & Tenderfoot 5 K in Bowling Green features a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) and the Tenderfoot 5K, both starting at 7:30 a.m. on August 28, 2027, from the Wood County Fairgrounds, where they also finish.

The half marathon course passes through a variety of scenic spots, including downtown, wooded trails and parks. Water stations are staffed by local Scout troops, who thank participants for their support. After the race, runners can enjoy refreshments such as chocolate milk and fresh fruit, and a pancake breakfast prepared by the Scouts is included with registration.
