SARR Turkey Trot and Kid's Pumpkin Dash

SARR Turkey Trot and Kid's Pumpkin Dash is the San Antonio RoadRunners' annual Thanksgiving event in San Antonio, Texas, on November 26, 2026. The Kids Pumpkin Dash (1K) starts at 8:15 AM, the 4-Miler (about 6.4 km) at 8:30 AM, and the 2-Miler (about 3.2 km) at 8:35 AM. Participants receive medals, times and awards are recorded for the competitive event, and runners in the longer distances also receive apparel while supplies last. Part of the entry fee goes to Street2Feet, a charity that promotes health among people experiencing homelessness through a 5K training program. In-person and virtual options are both available.

The 4-miler is the race for runners who want a real effort: pace it slightly slower than a 5K and hold on through the final mile. The 2-miler suits walkers, beginners, or anyone easing back into running. Six to eight weeks of steady running prepares you for the longer distance; a few weeks of easy activity is enough for the shorter one.
