The RVRR XC Summer Series Race 1 takes place in Highland Park on June 15, 2027, at 7:00 p.m., with a 5K (3.1-mile) cross-country race and a 2.5K (1.55-mile) fun run for those looking for a more moderate challenge. The series features four evenings of high-energy 5K cross-country racing, each followed by a celebration with pizza, hot dogs, drinks and awards.

Young athletes aged 13 and under have their own youth series. This non-competitive series includes 400-meter, 800-meter and 1,600-meter races, plus the exciting "lollipop" sprint. Kids can take part in as many races as they like and enjoy the festive atmosphere, with pizza served after the events.
