Runtastic TIMP

Runtastic TIMP is held on June 19, 2027, in American Fork Canyon, Utah, in support of people affected by cancer. The day opens before dawn with Light the Night, a silent tribute in which runners raise lights for patients and survivors; the half marathon (13.1 mi) then starts at 6:00 a.m., the 10K (6.2 mi) at 6:45 a.m., the 5K (3.1 mi) at 7:00 a.m. and a children's race at 9:00 a.m.

Canyon races start early because the courses run downhill and the buses leave earlier still — count on being up around three in the morning and dressed for cold air at the top. Bring a layer you are happy to abandon at the start, and use the waiting time to stay warm rather than to stretch: a cold start is the most common reason a downhill half feels harsh in the first mile.
