The Runfire Salt Lake Ultra Trail is held in Aksaray, Turkey, in the surreal landscape of Lake Tuz, one of the largest hypersaline lakes in the world, on 20 and 21 August 2027. The flagship 100 Miles (160.9 km) circles the lake, the 80 km crosses its toughest sections and the 40 km offers an introduction.
Competitors take on salt flats, volcanic rock and extreme temperatures, with mandatory survival kit and strict medical protocols in this protected ecosystem.
The 100 Miles starts at 18:00 on 20 August, followed at 20:30 by the 5 km night + 10 km day combination. On 21 August, the 80 km and 40 km start at 07:00, the 20 km at 07:30, and the 10 km and 10 km team race at 08:00.
