About
The Runfire Salt Lake Ultra takes place in Şereflikoçhisar, in Turkey's Ankara province, on the shores of Lake Tuz, on 16 and 17 August 2027. The stark, luminous landscape of this vast salt lake provides the main backdrop to the race.
Five distances cater for every kind of runner: 10 km, 20 km, 40 km, 80 km and 160 km. The 160 km (1,600 m of elevation gain) is held on 16 August; the 80 km (1,380 m), 40 km (780 m), 20 km (300 m) and 10 km follow on 17 August. The range runs from a short first taste of the site to a genuine ultra-trail challenge around the lake.
