runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend

runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend runs from April 9 to 11, 2027 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, with a 5K on April 9, a 10K on April 10, and a 10-Miler (16.1 km) on April 11. Runners who complete all three take on the Springtime Surprise Challenge, a total of 19.3 miles across the weekend. The courses feature appearances by rarely seen Disney characters, film-inspired staging, and entertainment along the route.

The weekend opens with a sunrise yoga session and closes with themed medals for each race, plus a fourth medal for Challenge finishers. Racing on three consecutive mornings is a pacing question more than a fitness one: run the 5K and 10K well within yourself and save the effort for the 10-miler. Back-to-back weekend long runs during your build are the best rehearsal, and a walk-run approach on the first two days will leave your legs fresher for the final morning.
