About

Run for the Runways in Midland, Texas, is a community event featuring a chip-timed 5K at 7:35 a.m. and a 1-mile fun run at 7:10 a.m. on the runways of the Midland airfield, on August 28, 2027.

Participants receive a T-shirt, a finisher medal and post-race refreshments. After the race, the event is part of the City of Midland's "Fly Into Fall" aviation festival, open to the public, with aircraft displays, flight simulators, drone experiences, fire truck demonstrations, classic cars and food trucks.
