About

Run for the Glasses takes place in Butler Township, Pennsylvania, in the Drums area of Luzerne County, in early June. The Honey Hole Half Marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7:00 a.m., and a 10K run, a 5K run/walk and a Dog Jog 5K for runners with their dogs start at 7:30 a.m.

All races start and finish at Honey Hole Winery and follow scenic out-and-back routes along Honey Hole Road. Overall winners receive awards and age group medals are given out. A virtual option lets people who cannot attend take part, and the event benefits community vision services in the Hazleton area. The name reflects that cause, and it also gives runners with their dogs a way to join in.
