The Roots Rock Run 5K in Philadelphia supports the GrassROOTS Community Foundation's work to promote menstrual equity. It takes place on June 26, 2027, with the 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile walk both starting at 10:00 a.m.

The event highlights period poverty, which causes many girls to miss school because they lack feminine hygiene products. Participants can sign up to run in person or virtually from anywhere in the world. Proceeds will provide feminine hygiene products and fund advocacy for supportive legislation. Special recognition goes to the top runners.
