Rodeo Clown Roundup

Rodeo Clown Roundup is a chip-timed event held at Karbach Brewing Company in Houston, Texas, on February 14, 2027. A 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles) start at 9:00 AM, each offered as a run or a walk, and a 1K for kids and families rounds out the program. Western gear and rodeo clown costumes are encouraged on course. Every finisher gets a medal and an event shirt, participants aged 21 and over get a beer afterward, and the party carries on at the brewery with food and a round of Singo Bingo.

Costume races reward a sense of humor more than a training block, but the 10K still asks for some base: one longer run of five to six miles a week for a month or two will cover it. The 5K is a shorter commitment, and the walk categories mean nobody has to run at all.
