About

Rockville 10K/5K takes place in Rockville, Maryland, in Montgomery County, on November 1, 2026. The kids' 1-mile fun run goes first at 8:10 a.m., the 10K (6.2 miles) starts at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K (3.1 miles) follows at 8:45 a.m. This annual road event is open to all abilities, and the course winds through the King Farm neighborhood.

The staggered schedule means a family can do all three without conflicts, and walkers and stroller pushers are encouraged in the 5K. Note the 15:00 minute-per-mile pace limit, which keeps the roads clearing on schedule; if that is close to your walking pace, plan to move steadily from the start. For the 10K, six weeks with one weekly tempo run of 20 to 30 minutes will serve you well.
