About

The RMRR October Trophy Series race in Aurora offers an 8-mile race (12.9 km) at 8:30 a.m. and a 5K at 8:45 a.m. on October 3, 2027. Rocky Mountain Road Runners hold a Trophy Series race in the Denver area every month, offering a welcoming, affordable setting for participants.

The 8-mile race uses a handicap start, in which runners of different speeds set off at different times to keep the competition fair. The race is held at Star K Ranch in Aurora, mostly on a dirt path along Sand Creek, and both courses are out-and-back. Participants are advised to arrive early to pick up their bibs and warm up.
