Race to Space Marathon & Half Marathon

Race to Space Marathon & Half Marathon is held in Huntsville, in Madison County, Alabama, on March 20 and 21, 2027. The Saturn V 5K opens the weekend at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, and the marathon (26.2 miles) and half marathon (13.1 miles) both start at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday. The course runs through Cummings Research Park.

Pace groups and chip timing mean you can hand the arithmetic to someone else and simply run the effort you trained for, which helps on a first marathon in particular. The half is the more accessible of the two Sunday distances and fits a 12-week build; the marathon asks for four to five months and a long run stretching past 20 miles. Afterward there is a post-race party with live music and vendor booths.
