About

Race the Wolf is a mountain trail running event near Sandpoint, held at Schweitzer Mountain Resort on June 19–20, 2027, with a trail marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km), a trail half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), a 5-mile (8 km) trail run and the Sky Climb, a 1-mile (1.6 km) challenge.

The courses cover a variety of surfaces through subalpine forest and along ridgelines with breathtaking views. On June 19, the 5-mile trail run starts at 10:30 a.m. and the Sky Climb at 2:00 p.m.; on June 20, the marathon gets underway at 7:00 a.m., followed by the half marathon at 8:45 a.m.

Designed for runners of every level, from first-timers to seasoned trail runners, the event offers an encouraging atmosphere, with several aid stations and restrooms along the way. Spectators are welcome too, making it a great day out for friends and family.
