About

Race for a Place to Call Home is an annual race at Riverside Park in Janesville on August 15, 2027, with a 10K (6.2 miles), a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile race (1.6 km), all starting at 7:30 a.m. It benefits Project 16:49, a nonprofit that supports unaccompanied homeless youth in Rock County.

The races are professionally timed, with awards for the top overall finishers and age-group winners. Participants receive bibs, T-shirts, medals and goodie bags. Project 16:49 provides essential services and transitional housing that help young people gain independence while finishing school, and race entries help fund these programs.
