About

The Quad Cities Distance Classic takes place in Moline, Illinois, in early May, with courses through the scenic parts of Moline and neighboring Rock Island. The half marathon (13.1 miles) and the 5K both start at 7:30 a.m. The route is well maintained, flat and fast, with aid stations along the way.

Finishers of the half marathon receive commemorative medals, and cash prizes go to the top male and female winners, with additional awards for masters and age groups. The event welcomes experienced runners and beginners and highlights community spirit and the joy of running. A flat course is a sensible place to aim for a personal best, though wind can slow things down in the open.
