Pups & Pastries - NC takes place at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary on September 11, 2027, with a 6.5-mile (10.5 km) race, a 5K and a Fun Mile, all starting at 9:00 a.m., plus Doggie Dash versions of the 6.5-mile and 5K for owners running with their dogs.

The event supports Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a no-kill animal rescue, with part of the dog registration fees going to the charity. Both in-person and virtual options are available. Participants receive race T-shirts and finisher medals, with awards and prizes up for grabs. Dogs must be registered and leashed, and are only allowed in specific races. The event aims to boost family fitness and animal welfare, offering a fun and rewarding experience for runners and their pets.
