The Powder Keg Trail Run is a 3.5-mile (5.6 km) run and walk in Kings Mills, held at Carter Park in Deerfield Township on August 21, 2027, with both the run and the walk starting at 9:00 a.m.

The challenging course follows the Little Miami River and passes near the historic Kings Mansion. Results are kept by age group, with awards for the top finishers, and T-shirts and snacks are provided. Proceeds support the Arts Alliance and its local arts programming. The race is part of the Dirt Days Trail Series, built for trail enthusiasts.
