About

The Poppy Love 5K- "In Memory of Poppy" takes place in Oklahoma City on May 29, 2027, with the 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 8:00 a.m. and the 1-mile event at 9:30 a.m.

This annual event honors a dog named Poppy, who survived parvovirus with the help of a veterinarian. It supports local Oklahoma shelters by providing financial help for animals in need. Participants can choose a timed race, a 1-mile walk, a fun run/walk or a virtual 5K. Dogs are welcome, and all participants get free entry to Bar K on event day. Those who register before mid-May receive a race T-shirt and a goodie bag. The event celebrates Poppy's memory while helping pets get a second chance at life.
