The Pine Trail Run takes place in the scenic town of Pine, Arizona, on May 1, 2027, with a 50K (31 miles) at 6 a.m., a 5K (3.1 miles) at 7:30 a.m. and a 10-mile (16.1 km) race at 8 a.m. It offers an exciting challenge while supporting an important cause: the health and safety of local forests through sustainable trail development and wildfire prevention awareness.

The event highlights initiatives such as the Firewise Garden and the Fire Interpretive Trail, all aimed at reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfires in Rim Country, especially in the communities of Pine and Strawberry. Runners follow trails along the stunning Mogollon Rim, at around 5,900 feet (1,800 m), carefully maintained by the PSFR crew and the Arizona Trail Association, who work year-round to maintain and improve trails in the Tonto National Forest.
