The Pétra wadi-rum trail sets off on 17 October 2026 in Jordan, from the Amman area, for a total of 120 km of trail running. It is a six-stage race with two formats to choose from, timed trail run or trek, on marked courses with aid stations.

The route links the Dana valley, the Shobak canyons, the site of Petra and the Wadi Rum desert, starting near the Dead Sea and finishing in Aqaba on the Red Sea. This kind of format suits runners used to technical terrain and able to string together efforts over several consecutive days: recovery between stages counts as much as speed. Logistics, accommodation and support are all taken care of, and finishers receive a medal at the end.
