About

The Parks Half Marathon, the MCRRC Parks Half Marathon, is a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) in Rockville, Maryland, on September 26, 2027, starting at 6:45 a.m. The course takes runners through Montgomery County and then Rock Creek Park, in an entirely natural setting where the sunrise filters through the trees.

The route is well marked and backed by a dedicated team, with several volunteer-staffed aid stations along the way, and free professional photos let you keep a souvenir of your race. The finish turns into a friendly festival where runners can meet up and celebrate together. Run through Rockville's public parks, the race appeals with its peaceful, community feel away from the bustle of the city, while keeping the energy of a lively Montgomery County town.
