The Pacific Beach Half Marathon & 5K is a high-energy race held every year in San Diego's iconic beachside neighborhood. The 5K runs at 7:30 a.m. on October 2, 2027, with a Kids 1K at 10:15 a.m., and the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) starts at 6:30 a.m. on October 3, 2027.

The half marathon is a USATF-approved point-to-point course that starts at Crown Point Park and finishes steps from the sand on the busy Pacific Beach boardwalk. Runners enjoy a fast, scenic route past SeaWorld, Hospitality Point and the West Mission Bay Bridge. The day before, the 5K offers a unique challenge: half sand, half boardwalk. With local support and ocean views, the race attracts both runners chasing fast times and beach lovers. The Surfside Double Shot Challenge lets participants run the 5K and the half marathon over two days, adding extra spice for endurance athletes and weekend warriors alike.
