Outrun the Cops and Walk for Kids takes place in Gurnee, Lake County, on June 26, 2027, with a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles), both starting at 8:00 a.m. The course follows a scenic crushed-limestone trail along the Des Plaines River.

The event supports the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center. Participants can run or walk, medals go to the top finishers in each age group, and everyone gets the unique challenge of trying to outrun local police officers.
