Outlast Eugene

Outlast Eugene is a 6-hour trail challenge that tests pacing and strategy, held on July 4, 2027, at Elijah Bristow State Park in Dexter, Oregon, near Eugene, with a 7:00 a.m. start. Athletes must complete a 3.1-mile (5 km) trail loop every hour, on the hour, for up to 18.6 miles (30 km) in total.

Each loop features varied natural terrain, with roots, rocks and changes in elevation that demand full attention and solid trail running skills. Each loop must be finished within the 60-minute limit to stay in the race; any time left after finishing is for active recovery and refueling before the next loop begins. Miss the cutoff and the race is over. Outlast Eugene is a true test of endurance, adaptability and race strategy.
