About

Oktoberfest Run 5K/10K/13.1 SAN DIEGO is scheduled for September 25, 2027, in San Diego, California. The half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), the 10K (6.2 miles), the 5K and the Family 1 Mile Fun Run all start at 7:30 a.m. True to its Bavarian theme, the event gives participants a T-shirt, a finisher medal, a gift, a participation certificate and a digital training pack, with results posted online. Virtual participation is also possible.

In late September, this road race can play several roles in a season: a tune-up before a fall marathon, the main goal for a runner who got back into training in July, or simply a group outing on the family mile. If you use it as a tune-up, don't go for an all-out effort, and plan three to four easy days afterward. Otherwise, the 10K offers an excellent balance between intensity and quick recovery.
