North Shore Turkey Trot - Highland Park

North Shore Turkey Trot - Highland Park takes place in Highland Park, Illinois, on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, and is organized by RAM Racing. Three formats all start at 8:00 a.m.: a 10K (6.2 miles), an 8K (about 5 miles), and a 5K (3.1 miles), open to beginners and experienced runners alike. The event features USATF-certified courses, enhanced medical plans, preferred and open start corrals, wave starts, and B-tag chip timing with ChronoTrack technology, with live online results and runner tracking updates you can share with friends and family. Bibs and goodie bags are handed out at packet pickup before the event; there is no race-day pickup. Customizable fundraising options may also be available.

Certified courses and chip timing make this a legitimate place to chase a PR at any of the three distances. Go for the 10K if you have eight weeks and a weekly run of 6 to 7 miles behind you, the 8K for a slightly shorter test of pacing, or the 5K for a first race or a fast tune-up.
