About

The Nippy Niner Trail Run is held on January 24, 2027, at Spanish Lake Park, with a 9-mile (14.5 km) trail run and a 9K (5.6 miles) trail race, both starting at 9:00 a.m. The course combines paved paths, gravel roads and off-road trails.

Because of damage to the River's Edge Trail and the Confluence Conservation Area, the event uses paved trails around Spanish Lake along with double-track, gravel roads and singletrack near Sunflower Lake. The route has more elevation gain than the former river-bottom courses and has been used before when trail conditions were similar, making for a challenging, hillier experience.
