About

The Newtown Community Running Event takes place in Newtown, in western Connecticut, on August 29, 2027, with a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk, all starting at 8 a.m., plus a kids' run at 7:10 a.m. The distances suit competitive runners and recreational participants alike, and the event encourages families and friends to come together.

Proceeds go to Newtown Ambulance, in honor of Greg Ritzinger's dedication. Every participant will receive a finisher's medal.
